November 8, 2018 | Leave a comment This year’s Fairer World Fair is our 10th!! As usual there will be a great range of Fairtrade and fairly traded goods for sale, as well the cafe with soup lunches and lots of home baking. It’s on Saturday November 10th, at St George’s Church Hall, George St, Dumfries. We have come a long way since the first Fairer World Fair in 2009, and we have a lot celebrate. So many farmers and producers in developing countries have benefited from Fairtrade, and it is wonderful to be part of such a life-changing, worldwide campaign. It’s also, of course, a wonderful opportunity to make a start on your Christmas shopping, and you can be sure that the people behind the products have received fair payment for their work and produce. As well as the wide range of gifts, foods and crafts on sale, there will also be the Café which will be serving teas, coffees, and home-baking, with soup available from noon; a display about the work of Wateraid; and information about the campaign for promoting Fairtrade in the region and across Scotland. Hope to see you there!
